In the frame of the World Environment Day and Day of river Sana, that is celebrated annually on 5th of June, Eco HUB Banja Luka i Eco HUB Mrkonjić Grad had organized a round table and traditional relay  Aqua Sana.

The round table was organized on 4th of June 2021 in village Pecka. Representatives of municipalities of Mrkonjić Grad, Oštra Luka, Ribnik, city of Prijedor, Public institution „Water of Srpska“, Republic Institute for Protection and CSOs talked about activities for protection of river Sana and their sources.

The relay Aqua Sana was organized on 5th of June where water from the river source, same as the past two decades, located in Mrkonjić Grad and Ribnik,  travelled along river basin through Ključ and Sanski Most arrived in Prijedor. National team in road cycling in BiH took over the bottle with water and delivered it to the delta of river Sana with river Una in municipality of Novi Grad. The relay finished its path at the delta of the river Sana with the message to improve protection of the river and that the water should have same quality on its delta as it is on the source.

Eco HUB Banja Luka is coordinated by LIR Evolution as part of project Think nature! that is implemented by Center for the Promotion of Civil Society and financed by Sweden.
