LIR Evolution provided technical, administrative and financial support to the City of Gradiška for implementation of the BEGIN project, funded under the first call of the INTERREG ADRION Programme. BEGIN (Boost Environmental Guardianship for Inclusion) project aims to support development of business models for management of social enterprises employing people from vulnerable groups, while transferring knowledge from innovative regions experienced in social entrepreneurship to less developed regions. Partners conducted an analysis of project territories to identify activities as a basis for social entrepreneurship models development, defined business models for management of social enterprises with inclusion of vulnerable groups, and formed an international network involving key stakeholders and a joint action plan to support social entrepreneurship.

The Lead partner of the BEGIN project is Regional development agency Nova Gorica, Slovenia, and besides the City of , the project involves 8 partners from Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece and Serbia. Project BEGIN is implemented from 01.01.2018 until 30.06.2020 with the total budget of 1.150.200,00 EUR. More information can be found on https://begin.adrioninterreg.eu/.
