Kick Off Meeting of the EU4E project Support for Youth Employment LEP Krajina

The Kick Off meeting of the project Support for Youth Employment LEP Krajina was organized on 11th October 2024 in Laktaši. The project team presented the ongoing activities and planned project results.
The project is implemented by LEP Krajina, which consists of the Employment Institute of the Republic of Srpska, the City of Laktaši, the City of Derventa, Vocational and Technical School of Derventa, Lanaco d.o.o., Novi Jelšingrad d.o.o. Banjaluka, the Center for Social Work Laktaši, and LIR Evolution as a lead partner.
Objective of the project is to strengthen the efficiency of the labor market, enable dignified and sustainable youth employment within the model of support, training and grants that are easily replicated and adopted by all relevant actors. The project envisages the employment of at least 40 and self-employment of 10 young people, who, thanks to the acquired skills and the support provided, will find employment or start their own business.
The activities are implemented within the framework of the EU for Employment project, financed by the European Union with 4 million euros and Sweden with 1 million euros, and implemented by the International Labor Organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Eu for Employment aims to improve the socio-economic situation and living conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is aimed at increasing employment opportunities for young people, women from rural areas, people with disabilities, Roma and long-term unemployed people, by combining grant programs and technical assistance.
