GeoHeCo – Deployment desk meeting

As part of the project “Danube GeoHeCo – Fostering the implementation of shallow geothermal hybrid heating and cooling systems in the Danube Region”, on March 27, 2025, LIR Evolution organized a hybrid meeting with the representatives of ministries, institutes, local self-government units, civil society organizations and enterprises.

The project team presented the key activities of the GeoHeCo project, with a special emphasis on the planned steps in the implementation of geothermal hybrid heating and cooling systems. During the meeting, practical examples of the use of shallow geothermal energy in horizontal and vertical closed loop systems were presented.

Participants had the opportunity to exchange views and discuss obstacles and possible solutions to encourage the use of shallow geothermal energy systems.
